My BFA Thesis at Appalachian State University consisted of the creation of a body of work for a group exhibition, “Becoming”, featured at the Smith Gallery in Boone, NC. With this body of work, I explored the idea of seasonal shifts coinciding with internal growth. In developing “The Truth About Spring”, I was able to work with CNC cutting technology, as well as Illustrator and Rhino software in order to create shaped red oak canvases, which I then painted to form my narrative.
